WHAT I OFFER
Global Aging Research
My expertise in cross-cultural aging, minority aging, and policy development positions me to contribute meaningfully to global aging research. I focus on how diverse cultural backgrounds shape the aging experience, particularly among underrepresented and marginalized populations. By integrating insights from minority aging studies, I aim to identify disparities in health, access to care, and social support systems. This culturally-informed perspective is essential for developing inclusive and equitable aging policies that address the unique needs of aging populations across the globe. My work supports evidence-based policy development that promotes dignity, resilience, and well-being for older adults in diverse communities.
Senior Care Consultation
I provide consultation for senior care homes and for individuals or organizations looking to start such services. Drawing on my expertise in gerontology and senior living systems, I help design best practice care models for long-term care, develop geriatric care managers, and implement research-based innovative practices for elder care.
Comprehensive Assesment & Care Planning
This comprehensive process of assessment employs the use of the Resident Assessment Form (RAF-India), an adaptation of the U.S.-based Minimum Data Set (MDS) of 1989, tested for cultural relevance, reliability, and validity in India. It forms the foundation of person-centered care planning and research-evidence-based best practices, for older adults to optimize their function without deterioration
Simulation Based Geriatric Education
Established in 2019, Travancore Education and Research Center offers gerontology programs with experiential learning based on simulation scenarios and task trainers.
